Our new smaller Headlight "single/dual" Delay relay
Very easy install. 2 wires in, 2 wires out. Put this inline with whatever you are wanting to delay. Single headlight, double headlight. Single HID, Double HID. One unit can delay 2 HID's.
The delay comes with labeled cables. "bike" "light"
"BIKE" Will attach to the Bike. Black is negative/Red is positive
"LIGHT" will attach to the Filament Bulb or go to the Positive/Negative of the HID ballast. Red is positive/black is negative. OR ( white is positive/green is negative)
The delay is delaying the positive connection from the Bike side of the wiring to the Light side of the wiring. Ground is a common connection that goes through the delay relay.
IF you are unaware of which is positive and negative on the bike, the delay is protected against reverse polarity on the input side.
So you can connect it and turn on your key and listen for the relay to click. If you don't hear the relay turn the key off and switch the red and black on the "BIKE" wires to get the right polarity. "MAKE SURE THE RED/BLACK wires on the "Light/bike" side are not touching each other or you will blow a fuse.
Once the relay clicks, turn off the key and connect the HID positive and negative and set your time delay.
